York County Junior Assembly

Junior Assembly of York
An Etiquette and Social Skills Program for Grades 4–8

About the Program
Junior Assembly of York is an etiquette and social skills program designed to help children build confidence, show kindness, and learn the importance of respect for themselves and others.

Open to students in grades 4–8, our program runs one evening per month from September through April, with eight interactive sessions that make manners meaningful—and fun.

Each class is age-appropriate and engaging, combining modern etiquette lessons with real-life social scenarios. From learning how to introduce themselves with a firm handshake to understanding table manners, digital etiquette, and how to be a gracious guest, students gain skills that will benefit them for a lifetime.

Our Philosophy
We believe that manners are for everyone. Our inclusive program welcomes children of all backgrounds and personalities—whether they’re outgoing or reserved.

At Junior Assembly, we create a space where every child feels seen, valued, and capable of showing up with confidence and courtesy in any setting.

Program Highlights

🌟 Etiquette Dinner
Students enjoy a formal, multi-course meal where they practice everything from napkin placement to polite conversation. This hands-on experience reinforces lessons from class and builds confidence in real-life dining situations.

💃 Spring Ball
A joyful celebration of student progress—complete with dancing, formal introductions, and opportunities to demonstrate poise and respect in a fun, elegant setting.
